Documentation and Safety

Good practice on moving day includes:

• A written inventory list, ideally checked and signed at pickup and again at delivery.
• Photos of high-value or fragile items before packing, as a simple record of their condition.
• Keeping important documents (property papers, ID proofs, certificates) with you personally rather than packed with general household items.
• Confirming any insurance or liability terms in writing — verbal assurances are easy to misremember later.

How to Prepare for Moving Day

• Declutter before the move — donate or discard what you no longer need, so you are not paying to move it.
• Label boxes by room and contents, so unpacking is faster.
• Keep a separate bag with essentials (medicines, chargers, a change of clothes) that you will need on the first night.
• Share any access restrictions in advance — narrow lanes, no-lift buildings, limited parking — so the team can plan the vehicle and manpower accordingly.
